Meet Hank

Hank's professional practice is focused on estates and trusts and income taxes for professionals, entrepreneurs and foreign businesses operating in Canada. He's the author of over 300 articles dealing with subjects such as succession planning, taxation, business development, finance and human behaviour. He's a member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (STEP) and a highly regarded speaker to business groups.

Hank has lectured in the professional development program for the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. He has taught humanities at York University and writing at University of Toronto. Hank has served on the boards of private companies in manufacturing, software development and real estate as well as two major charities. He was educated at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Toronto.

Hank was a founding member of the Toronto Chapter of the Family Firm Institute, an organization that provides research and management information to family owned firms in North America and Europe and their advisors. For several years, Hank was a Certified Financial Planner.

Hank is the former chair of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Schools Committee for Canada. He was a board member at the Centre for Integrative Thinking Challenge at University of Toronto's Rotman School of Business. Hank is the Johns Hopkins representative to IUCT, the International University Alumni Clubs of Toronto. He was for many years the treasurer and a member of the strategic planning committee of PEN Canada, a writers' organization dedicated to promoting freedom of expression in Canada and around the world.
